Over the years, I found that finding facilitation for local government meetings, goal setting and community workshops was often difficult. For as much as people knew how to coordinate meetings, they just did not have the background or understanding of the local government topics to get you to that next level of discussion. I often found myself doing the facilitation which absolutely drove me crazy because I kept me from participating, then it was up to me to generate summaries and feedback from the meetings.
My focus is on community meetings (throw me to the wolves) or organizational settings for local government agencies.
One of the services I am offering is facilitation for your meetings which includes:
- Setting the Agendas and background materials for the workshop.
- Ill prepare all of the materials and supplies for the sessions. This will include the use of technology to provide maximum participation and involvement.
- Facilitating the discussions, break out sessions and interaction of the meeting.
- Keeping the meeting on topic, on time and moving forward to get to the desired information and collaboration with the participants and key stakeholders.
- Ill develop the summaries with assignments and draft action plans for follow up with participants.
- We will make it fun with the results being a high quality combined with developing teamwork toward the shared goals.
I am available for half, full and multi-day sessions both on and offsite.
